Two controls, separate jobs
One dial selects fan-only, low heat or high heat. The other sets the thermostat. Start with the instructions for your model, then adjust the thermostat once the room feels comfortable. Cycling is part of thermostat operation and does not mean the heater produces more than its selected rated power.
This is supplemental heat for the room you are occupying. Heat retention, insulation and drafts affect the result, so a compact body or a quoted room size cannot guarantee the same experience in every home.
A closer look
Plan a clear place on the floor
Small dimensions make storage easier, but operating clearance still matters. Set the heater on a firm, level floor at least three feet from curtains, bedding, furniture and other combustible materials. Keep the intake and outlet unobstructed.
Tip-over and overheat protection add automatic shutoffs; they do not replace safe placement or supervision. Plug directly into a suitable wall outlet, turn off before leaving the room or sleeping, and let it cool before moving.
